Outreach
Vacation Bible School
This theme-based, week-long summer program helps children build a foundation of faith through high-energy songs, stories, food, crafts and games. If you enjoy working with children, there is a place for you to help!
Lunch Boxes for Seniors
Once per month, volunteers pack lunch boxes with delicious homemade food and messages of caring, then deliver them to members of the community who have limited mobility.
Senior Citizen Coffee Club
Senior citizens in the community are invited to gather for a short program, along with conversation over lunch and games. The programs feature music or a brief presentation on a topic of interest. A community health nurse is also available for health screenings.
40 Days of Prayer
In a decades-old tradition at Seville UMC, we observe the season of Lent by committing to 40 days of prayer for five persons. Do you know someone who needs prayer? You can submit their name to the church on a card. At the conclusion of 40 days, those who have been praying are encouraged to send a note, letting the individuals know they have been remembered in prayer.
Free Community Meal
All are invited to share in a freshly cooked meal at the church. It doesn’t matter what your circumstances are — if you are in need, if you simply enjoy meeting your neighbors, or if you just want to eat some good comfort food! Donations accepted, but not required. Everyone is welcome and volunteers are always needed.
Seville Community Food Pantry
At Seville UMC, we recognize individuals and families often face difficult choices between paying their bills and putting food on the table. As the host site of the Seville Community Food Pantry, we help provide our neighbors in need with food, toiletries and other essential items.
Matthew 25 Coalition
Seville UMC is an active member of the Matthew 25 Coalition — a network of churches in southern Medina County assisting local households with emergency needs such as rent, utilities, gasoline, medical supplies, prescriptions, and referrals to other local service providers.
Family Life Activities
At various times throughout the year, everyone in the church family is invited for an afternoon or evening of games, food (of course) and other activities. It’s a time for simple fun and an opportunity for individuals of all ages to get to know one another better.
